What STRONG specifies
STRONG lists Google TV certification, 32GB flash storage, Wi-Fi 6, Ethernet, USB-A and USB-C, HDMI 2.1, Bluetooth, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Its current product material also describes Android 12 upgradeable to Android 14, while the product presentation states Android 14, so buyers should treat the exact software version on a retail unit as update-dependent rather than assuming every box ships identically.
Why it fills a useful gap
Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) gives strong value but lacks built-in Ethernet. Google TV Streamer adds Gigabit Ethernet and 4GB RAM but does not offer the same conventional USB layout. LEAP-S3PRO sits between them as a connectivity-focused certified Google TV box.
That makes it particularly interesting for buyers who want a proper box rather than a stick, expect to connect accessories, or prefer wired networking where possible.
Ports and networking are the main selling point
STRONG lists both USB-A and USB-C, plus Ethernet, HDMI and optical S/PDIF. That is a more useful physical connection set than most mainstream streaming sticks and gives the S3PRO a clear identity in a crowded Google TV market.
Wi-Fi 6 is also listed for wireless use. STRONG does not need to win every benchmark to be useful here: the combination of Wi-Fi 6 plus native Ethernet gives buyers two practical network routes.
32GB storage is a sensible baseline
With 32GB of flash storage, the S3PRO provides substantially more nominal capacity than common 8GB streaming sticks. The operating system and pre-installed software still consume part of that space, but there is more room for apps and updates before storage pressure becomes a concern.
For a wider explanation, see our streaming-device storage guide.
Picture and sound support
STRONG lists 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and Dolby Atmos. As with any streamer, the actual format you receive depends on the television or AVR, the streaming service and the programme being played.
A note on RAM
The current STRONG UK product page does not prominently state a RAM figure. We therefore leaves RAM unscored rather than copying an unverified number from third-party marketplace listings.
Who should buy the STRONG LEAP-S3PRO?
- Buy it if you want certified Google TV with 32GB storage and native Ethernet.
- Buy it if USB-A/USB-C and optical audio are useful to your setup.
- Consider Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) if value matters more than built-in Ethernet.
- Consider Google TV Streamer if you prioritise 4GB RAM and Google’s own premium hardware.
- Consider NVIDIA Shield TV Pro if Plex, local media and enthusiast features matter more than buying newer hardware.
