OUR TAKE

Amazon-heavy living rooms that want hands-free Alexa, Ethernet and more connectivity than a Fire TV Stick.

Here's the case for it, along with the things we'd check before buying.

What makes it worth a look

  • 16GB storage is more comfortable than basic 8GB devices
  • Built-in Ethernet gives you a straightforward wired-network option
  • Dolby Vision support suits compatible HDR TVs
  • Wi-Fi 6E support for modern wireless networks

What to check first

  • Still only 16GB storage, and the interface remains strongly centred on Amazon services.
  • 2GB RAM is adequate rather than class-leading

Our take

Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) is the premium Fire TV option for buyers who want more than a stick. It combines an octa-core processor, Wi‑Fi 6E, Ethernet, USB, HDMI input and hands-free Alexa control.

Who it suits

It is strongest in an Amazon-centred living room where Alexa equipment control, wired networking and extra ports are genuinely useful.

What to know first

Its 16GB storage is modest for a premium box and the software experience is still heavily Amazon-led.
