What Apple actually specifies
The current third-generation Apple TV 4K uses Apple’s A15 Bionic chip. The Wi-Fi + Ethernet model provides 128GB storage, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, Gigabit Ethernet, Thread networking and HDMI 2.1. Apple lists support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG and Dolby Atmos.
Why it earns a place in ViewHarbour
It adds a genuinely different ecosystem to the database. It is not trying to compete on sideloading or peripheral expansion; its strengths are performance, a polished tvOS experience and strong integration with iPhone, AirPods and Apple smart-home features.
Who should buy it?
It makes most sense as a premium main-TV streamer for people already invested in Apple hardware. The 128GB Ethernet model is the version ViewHarbour tracks because it offers the strongest specification and removes Wi-Fi as a requirement for a fixed installation.
Who should skip it?
If app installation flexibility, USB peripherals or value are your priorities, a certified Google TV box is a better fit.
