We welcome relevant streaming-device review samples and loan units from manufacturers, distributors, PR agencies and retailers.
ViewHarbour covers streaming sticks, TV boxes and connected-TV hardware for a UK audience. If a product is a good fit, we want to test or research it in the same context readers are already using to compare alternatives.
What we’re interested in
Our main focus is streaming sticks, Android TV and Google TV devices, Fire TV hardware, Roku devices, premium streaming boxes, Freely and Freeview-related hardware, and useful accessories that genuinely affect the viewing experience.
How we handle review units
- A sample does not guarantee a positive review. The conclusion remains editorially independent.
- Loan units are welcome. If the product needs to come back, please agree the return arrangement with us before sending it.
- Retained samples can be disclosed where relevant. Keeping a unit does not change its score or verdict.
- We can work with embargoes when the date and conditions are agreed in writing beforehand.
- We do not accept payment for a guaranteed conclusion or for removing a legitimate drawback from a review.
What hands-on testing may cover
The test plan depends on the product, but it can include setup, interface responsiveness, streaming behaviour, storage, networking, app availability, picture and audio behaviour, the remote, ports, HDMI behaviour, heat and stability, build quality and overall value.
Hands-on comments are reserved for the exact unit we’ve used. Catalogue specifications and manufacturer documentation are kept separate from those observations.
Why send a device to ViewHarbour?
A relevant product can appear in more than one useful context: an individual review, a comparison, a buying guide, the Device Finder or the wider device catalogue. We only add those connections where they make editorial sense.
That means a reader can move from a review into the alternatives they are genuinely considering rather than seeing a product in isolation.

We’re also open to relevant retailer and affiliate partnerships that give UK readers useful buying options. Commercial relationships stay separate from editorial scoring, rankings and conclusions.

Please include the product name, UK availability, current or intended UK price, launch date if relevant, whether the unit is a loan or review sample, any embargo date, and a link to the official UK product or support information. That gives us enough information to assess it quickly.

Editorial independence
Supplying hardware does not buy a recommendation, placement or favourable wording. We may decide not to cover a product if it falls outside the site or does not offer enough value to our readers. If you believe we’ve made a factual mistake, we’re happy to review the evidence.
