The standard NVIDIA Shield TV is the compact tube-shaped model. It combines 4K HDR streaming, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, NVIDIA AI-enhanced upscaling and Gigabit Ethernet in a smaller chassis than the Shield TV Pro.
Its 8GB internal storage and 2GB RAM are the main compromises. Unlike the Pro model, it does not include two full-size USB 3.0 ports, so it is less suited to storage expansion and advanced local-media setups. Its Wi-Fi 5 hardware is also older than the Wi-Fi 6 options found in newer streaming devices.
